Sending messages and updates is an important way to keep connected to your list members. Engagement, after all, is how you grow your business and convert looky-loos into customers.

If your current Membership Plan allows it, from your lists page you can post updates that can be emailed to your entire list. While logged in, simply click the "Updates" sub-tab, enter the message you want posted to your list, check the "Email this update...", and hit the "Add Update" button.

Depending on your plan you can send a set number of update emails to your list members each month. Each list member who receives an email counts towards the limit available to you. Your number of emails sends resets on the same day your subscription is renewed monthly or annually.

Why do we limit the number of emails you can send?

Everyone hates spam and we want to make sure your list members stay happy users. By limiting the number of emails a list owner can send we limit the likelihood list members will mark the emails they receive as spam. Once they report your email as spam it significantly decreases the likelihood any of your future emails will reach list member's inboxes.

Here's an example of how sending limits work...

If you have 250 list members and your plan limits you to 1,000 emails, you can email 4 updates per month.

What happens if I run out of emails?

You have a few options if you run out of email sends.

1. You can upgrade your plan to unlock more email sends

2. You can send updates via 3rd party services like MailChimp or Sendgrid

3. You can use our built in messaging system to contact member individually

What if I have more list members than send available?

We send the update emails to your list members in the order they joined your list. If you run out of email sends when an update is posted the list members over you send limit will not receive that update. You can always upgrade your plan to add more email sends.

Keep in mind, you can always post updates to your list without sending emails to list members! Updates are always listed on the "Updates" tab.
